“we don’t have time for church, we have finals next year”

hello cute fam bam! this one might be far too short, i have 15 minutes. thank you all for your emails! i love you so much! quick side note, this keyboard keeps switching to russian whenever it wants so uh….sorry!

this week was good! i’ll have to just pick a couple stories real quick. MIRACLES are happening in кривой рог. we usually have about 5 or 6 people stay after english practice for a gospel lesson. and that’s on a good day, sometimes only 1 or 2. but this week, all of a sudden more people starting staying after and a few have been really interested in meeting with the missionaries after too! we have about 20-25 staying after now. seriously, it’s incredible. president and sister sullivan were here over the weekend, and president sullivan did lectures at universities, they did a fireside, and a couple other things and it was SO GOOD. everyone here loves them, they’re seriously famous and it’s so funny.

i’ve been thinking a lot about prayer lately. anв what it means to really pray from the deepest parts of our hearts and pour out everything we’re feeling to God. Prayer is such a sacred experience. one elder in my MTC district one time said, “every night when i pray, i imagine that i’m literally kneeling at my heavenly father’s feet.” i’ve started to do this, and it has changed my prayers. it’s no longer somethign i just do before i go to bed. it’s a sacred time i get to spend with my father in heaven. and i feel his love, like papa’s love, when i would pour out my feelings to him. He truly hears us. He is truly there. God and Jesus Christ are WAITING to help us, just standing there so anxious to help, and all we have to do is ask through prayer. This communication with God is one of the best things I get to bring to the people of Ukraine. It’s incredible. I encourage you all to make your prayers an even more sacreв time with the Father. 🙂

okay, funny story! we met with two 15 year old girls who come to english practice every week. they rule. they are so nice. they also reminded me of every reason i hated high school…diets, selfies, and grudges over fights they don’t even remember. hahaha. but it’s way funny. they also played my favorite country song on their phone so it’s fine. haha. but, the funny thing is, they todl us they pretty much only come to english because they have a crush on the native elder in our district. gross. and then they came to the fireside, and then after i asked how they liked it and they said “we dont’ have time foк church. we have finals next year.” hahah. ok out of time LOVE YOU.
