“THe Lord is preparing his children! It’s incredible! “

2016 December 5

hi my dear family. i timed real bad and now i have 5 minutes to send this email. SORRY. haha, i lied, we just bought 20 more minutes! woohoo.

This week was really great. SO many miracles. first, thank you all so much for your emails! they light up my whole world! I’m getting SO EXCITED to skype you! mom, i lied to you, joe did email me. haha. sorry! so we actually just email at an internet club every week, and that’s where we will skype too. all the computers here have skype and a camera, so i should be able to just log onto my existing skype account (i’m too confused and short on tiem to try and create a new one with mish email) and add you mama and then call!  i’m so glad to hear that grandpa is here. that’s so much fun! ohh i miss walker clan gatherings. those are the best. send my love to them all! ohh mama i need tei fu cream please next time you send a package just sneak some in there, thanks! and ukrainians LOVE american candy, it’s so funny, so thanks so much for all the candy you sent a while back! i have a very important question. did you keep the square couch? also, i LOVE the new house. and MY BEDROOM is a beauty. oh baby, i’m excited. haha. oh ma, i wnated to tell you to read Jesus the Christ if you haven’t already, you’d love it I think.  &i got your letter ma about april’s new chirstmas idea. that’s awesome that they are doing that. (my sister started a service project in my mama’s memory this year)  i also really like the idea of using $ dollars before christmas just to serve! i will talk to my comp about doing that here, i think we’d like that. (we also started a new tradition in my mama’s memory this year where we each have a certain amount of money to use in any kind of secret service between thanksgiving day and christmas day, that’s what she is talking about here) 🙂 I want to hear about it from each of you!!!! such a cool idea.

okay, SO many miracles this week as always! first, do you remember Алина (Alena)? she would be baptized tomorrow if she could but her mom won’t let her. her mom banned her from going to church a couple weeks ago. any, yesterday, all of us missionaries here fasted and she joined us, and then she showed up at church! it was a TOTAL surprise to us, and the biggest miracle. i guess she just asked her mom and miraculously she said she could go to church! oh, so cool. also we finally saw Елена (yelena) again! she’s been sick for a few weeks. We did a ping pong activity the other day! i thought of you, joe dad and na. haha. it was so much fun! we had a tournament. also, last night, we met with a guy we know from english practice, who has been doing lessons with the elders, and we met up with him then his two friends were there too. at first we weren’t too excited because we didn’t think they’d be interested in the gospel, meaning we wouldn’t really have a gospel discussion. but we didn’t walk 30 steps before one of them started pounding us with amazing questions! we talked about hte gospel for the entire two hours we were walking together, and it was really cool. such a miracle! also, there are two girls we are friends with who we have tried to teach the gospel to before, but they really weren’t that interested. we still hang out with them, but the last time we did sis broadhead asked if they had any friends who might be interested in the gospel, and one of them said yes! we met with her, her name is Dasha, and she is incredible. She was so excited to hear the Restoration, and was THRILLED about the book of mormon. we prayed with her, and she said that when she was in germany. she heard to girls pray the exact same way we just did in a crowded cafe, and she was so touched by that, that two girls would even think to thank God for their food. Those two girls (maybe missionries, we don’t know) will never know the impact they made on Dasha, and how it prepared her to meet with us. THe Lord is preparing his children! It’s incredible!

AH, well, fam bam. I love you so much. There’s just never enough time on MOndays to adequately express my love and my appreciation for your emails and your love and all you do for me. I could not do this without each and every one of you. oh, and maybe i already typed this here i don’t remember…haha. sis broadhead and i prayed and set a goal last week and we decided to only speak enlish now during studies and after 9:30 PM, after we finish planning. we speak russian all the rest of the time! and it’s been really cool. my language is improving slowly, but moreso now that we speak it more. the lord truly magnifies our efforts!

pictures: went fora  walk in the park! AND ALL OUR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ARE FINALLY UP! tree, and stockings, and lights and all! we LOVE THEM! as soon as sis broadhead gets her presents from her fam we will put the presents under the tree! have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS FILLED WEEK! love you so much fam bam. <3
