This. This. This Just Made My Day.

That moment when your daughter says, “Hey, I want to read that one blog…” and you hand over your MacBook and then.  You don’t get it back.  Because she just keeps clicking and clicking and clicking on more and more posts.  Reading about the life she already experiences with you.  Every day.  But seeing it fresh through your eyes.

This is what I’ve been waiting for. …My kiddos to fall in love with this blog.

Hearing her little snickers.  Her chuckle.  Her outright laugh.  Then watching her get quiet as she starts reading about the Grandpa who lived here for a year, and about his life in Papa, and discovering him in a new light.  And then, the MacBook is handed back.  But only because her friend is here to take her to a homework group.  But somehow I know.  If she hadn’t had to leave.  She’d have sat and read herself into a world of discovery.  And she would have fallen in love with all things family, all over again.  As she melted into this world of her life and all those connected to her through her mother’s eyes.

A PERFECT MOMENT
